The accredited course is four days long, run either over two weekends or during the week (in-company training is mostly available through the week).
The accredited course informs you about the following important matters:
- How to Draft Heads of Agreement
- How to Draft Consent Orders
- Learn the Mediator’s Skills - both verbal and non-verbal
- The Legal Implications of Mediation
- Active Particiaption in Mediation Case Studies
At Mediator Training we believe that you will learn much more by actively participating in mock cases. In these highly important sessions one of our trainers will observe each mediation and assess performance against our skills guide. You will then receive tutor feedback, peer feedback and group discussion.
Assessment is continuous throughout the course with the requirement that two documents, namely a Reflective Journal and a Heads of Agreement, are drafted and are sent to the Course Leader within 21 days of the end of the course.
The Certificate of Accreditation is awarded to delegates who pass the required level of competence to achieve the status of an Accredited Mediator. Our accreditation is recognised by a number of professional bodies including the Law Society and Bar Council
Delegates need to prepare thoroughly for this fast moving and innovative course. The Mediator Training Handbook including all the Mock Cases will be despatched around two weeks in advance of the course. Maximum input will enable all delegates to obtain the best results from the course.
When a Mediator is accredited future business can come from linking up with a Mediation Provider or an Association of Mediators. There are regional mediator groups and associations throughout the UK which can assist in helping you to obtain cases.
Mediator Training also offers a resolution service which is conducted by Mediators specially selected for their ability in relation to the area of dispute. Please see our contacts page to discuss your requirements.
